Terms Of Service

Refunds

Journey to Run does not offer refunds on coaching services. Coach Melia is here to coach you to your highest level of success, and part of that is requiring a commitment from you that you are fully invested to your training and coaching services. When refunds are an option, you can have “one foot in” the work, and “one foot out” the door. It is to YOUR benefit to decide BEFORE purchasing coaching services and signing up to work with me that you are 100% committed to this work. Coach Melia will be just as committed to you. The only exception to the no refunds policy is if, during the initial consultation, Coach Melia determines that we are not a good fit. This will occur before a training plan is developed.

Coaching Consultations

It is your (the athlete’s) responsibility to schedule coaching consultations as allowed under your specific coaching plan within the appropriate timeframe. Coach Melia will not remind you to use your included coaching calls within the appropriate timeframe. It is important that you prioritize your training and coaching consultations to receive the full benefit of coaching services.

At the end of your coaching month, any unused consultations that are included with your plan are considered forfeited and do not roll over to the next month. This means if your membership month starts on the 10th of the month, you will need to use any included consultations on or before the 9th of the next month. Please be in communication with Coach Melia if there are any extraordinary circumstances that prevent you from using a coaching consultation in a particular month.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a coaching session, you may do so by providing 24-hour notice in advance of the scheduled session. All sessions (including rescheduled sessions) must take place within the same month of service (as determined by your service/billing schedule). If you arrive late to a consultation time or miss it all together, that time is considered forfeited. Please be in communication with Coach Melia in the event of emergencies. When the month of service (as determined by your service/billing schedule) ends, any unused coaching consultations will be forfeited and do NOT roll over to the next month.

Pauses in Services

Coach Melia understands that emergencies, illness, and injuries may arise. In most instances, these are short-term (less than a week in duration) and do not result in significant interruptions to your training or ability to receive coaching services. In the rare circumstance where an emergency, illness, or injury results in you needing to take more than 1 week away from training and coaching services, you are eligible to pause your plan and preserve the amount of time remaining in the paid month of service to be used at a later time. A pause in services will not result in a full or partial refund as those services will be received at a later date. A pause in services is not retroactive and does not go into effect until you and Coach Melia have both agreed that a pause is appropriate. At the time of the pause, your training plan will stop and upcoming coaching consultations will be cancelled. During the pause, regular coaching communication will stop and communications will only relate to the coordination of re-starting training and using the balance of previously paid services. The balance of paused services will remain available for 1 year from the date the pause is initiated. Any unused services remaining after 1 year will be forfeited.

Sharing of Your Information

Coach Melia and Journey to Run LLC will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

Sharing of Training Information from Journey to Run

It is important to note that training plans are developed for you as an individual athlete. The daily workouts, paces, mileage progression, etc. are based on your athletic history, past runs, and individual circumstances. While many athletes enjoy running with friends or family members from time to time (which is perfectly fine), you should not share your individual training plan with someone else for the purpose of their training.  Use of a training plan designed for a different person increases the risk of injury. Instead, Coach Melia would be happy to work with your friend or family member to create a training plan specific to their needs through monthly or one-time coaching services. This process will include an athlete questionnaire/assessment and initial coaching consultation. Plus, when you refer a friend or family member to Journey to Run, you both will receive 15% off your next month of service.
